PLANT A PASTOR Festus, Felix, Joel Daniel all in Nigeria. Paul in Uganda, Abel in Mexico, Jean Paul and Marthe in Burkina Faso, George in Malawi. Two more young men are preparing for work in N.India.
These are the names of young people, whom we as a congregation are supporting financially to enable them to train in their own countries to teach and pastor God’s people within their own communities.
We have also pledged to support training for 12 young men who will travel as evangelists on the Congo River. Our contact is Maisie Smyth of UFM, working in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In December 2002, the Missionary Committee made an appeal to the congregation asking you to contribute to our "Plant a Pastor" project in order that we might undertake to support financially, young men and women, whom God has called to serve Him within their own communities.
The congregation responded generously to this appeal and we have identified, through overseas contacts, the seven young people named above as being worthy of your support. Many of them have made great sacrifices and endured considerable hardship.
