Our History
The companies were formed on the 1st September 1952. The first Chaplain was Rev. W G M Martin and the founding Captains were Evelyn and John Millar.
Both Companies remain a strong Christian witness in the Carrickfergus area and beyond. At present we have almost 300 boys and girls between both companies.
Over the years the content of our programme and uniform have changed but our mottos and aims remain the same.
In 2012 we will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the founding of our companies.
A number of events have been planned, which are detailed below.
“Changing Times”
On the 17th March 2012.
This will be a joint display and celebration in Carrickfergus Leisure Centre. There will be a matinee and evening performance.
Cost of Tickets - £4.00 (all ages)
“Thanksgiving Service”
On Sunday 22nd April 2012 at 6pm
A special service of thanksgiving in First Carrickfergus Presbyterian Church for past and present members of the companies, family members and friends.
Praise will be led by the 3rd Carrickfergus Band.
